National Media Network: 150+ Sites, Zero Guesswork

When a leading ASX-listed company set out to upgrade its national media player and modem fleet across more than 150 sites, they turned to us to design a future-ready network. The challenge? Replace legacy infrastructure while improving uptime and drastically reducing truck rolls for service calls. Our solution included Urban IQ for real-time visibility, smart fault detection, and proactive support—all without setting foot on-site.

Over 500 existing screens received new media players using a scalable, cloud-managed 4G network. Each site was built on a secure private network, using 4G routers with smart monitoring and remote access. This allowed the central team to remotely patch firmware, troubleshoot in real time, and monitor live network health with full alerting capabilities—all from a single dashboard.

Urban IQ played a critical role by centralising all device and network data into a cohesive management view. Instead of reactive maintenance and delayed diagnostics, the team could identify failing equipment early and resolve most issues remotely. As a result, truck rolls dropped dramatically, while system uptime and reliability soared. The operational savings were immediate, and the customer experience improved across the board.
